Popular by his comic stage name ‘Ghuggi’, Gurpreet is undoubtedly one of the most sociable comedians and actors in the Punjabi Entertainment industry.
Starting out as an actor who featured in small roles in Doordarshan serials, Gurpreet Ghuggi shot to fame after participating in Star One’s ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, a comedy reality show, in 2005.
He made his acting debut with the Punjabi film ‘Jee Aayan Nu’ in 2002 and since then has given memorable comic performances in movies such as ‘Yaaran Naal Baharan’,‘Mitti Wajaan Maardi’ and ‘Jatt James Bond’. He has also appeared in Bollywood films like ‘Singh Is Kinng’ & ‘Khiladi 786’.
He is also popular for his stand-up series such as ‘Ghuggi Junction’, ‘Ghuggi Shoo Mantar’ & ‘Khich Ghuggi Khich’.
He entered politics by joining the ‘Aam Aadmi Party’ in 2016.
